Well folks, school is back in session. The downside of this is the 10000 students wandering the streets, cloggings my bars, and making the lineups at the A&P nearly unbearable. However, where there are students there are very often a whole heap of great musicians ready play in the hopes of enticing the kids to exchange their hard-earned OSAP money for cds and shirts. Take a gander at the show listing on the right for a small selection of the upcoming greatness.

To kick off the fall concert season in Kingston, on September 19th my favourite bar (Grad Club) will be featuring one of my favourite bands (Apostle of Hustle) and joy shall return to the land. For those of you who might be new to Kingston you need to know these three things about the Grad Club: 1) it has an awesome beverage selection; 2) it serves excellent food; and 3) it hosts the best bands playing in Kingston. Additional bonuses: trivia night on Thursdays, great patio, and undergraduates often don’t discover it for years. So, go and make nice with the staff ’cause they might very well become the most important people in your life. For those of you who might be new to the Apostle of Hustle you need to know these two things: 1) they play amazing Cuban-influenced indie-rock, and 2) they are always fantastic live, especially in the very, very intimate Gradclub.

For those of you not lucky enough to live in Kingston you may be lucky enough to see AoH – with those of you in London, Guelph, Toronto & Ottawa being very fortunate as AoH will re-Fuse with Tagaq for what undoubtedly be a series of unforgettable shows (see some tracks from their CBC Fuse recording here).
